INCLEMENT WEATHER/SCHOOL CANCELLATIONS
The Halifax Regional School Board takes great care when making the decision to alter the normal operations of schools in the event of severe or inclement weather. The decision is made as close to 6:00 a.m. as possible. We belong to the J.L. Ilsley Family of Schools. You can access school closure information via the following:

Listen to your radio—all local radio stations will be informed
There are times when schools will be open, but busses will be cancelled due to poor road conditions. If your child travels by bus, parents and guardians must use discretion with regard to sending your child to school. Before dropping students off, please remember you are responsible to get your child home as busses are cancelled for the day. In the event of an early dismissal, students will not be released from school until parents, guardians or designates have been notified by the school.
